NEW restrictions banning parking and loading outside the new community health centre in Rawtenstall are to be introduced.
The plans would introduce no waiting at any time and no loading or unloading around Bacup Road and Fallbarn Road.
Councils chiefs say the measures will help to improve highway safety in the area and on the nearby busy junction.
Brenda Garside, traffic technician at Lancashire County Council, said: “The restrictions are required to protect the junction of Bacup Road with Fallbarn Road, in order to increase highway safety by removing the potential to park, thereby improving sight lines.
“It seeks to ensure access to the medical centre at all times by introducing no loading/unloading restrictions in the area nearby.”
