PLUMBING and bathroom firm James Hargreaves has opened a new £1.25million showroom in Blackburn.
The Burnley-based company said the decision to set up the new showroom, in Larkhill, was brave given the still-troubling state of the economy.
Managing director Gordon Rothwell said: “We have taken a view that the best way forward is to push the philosophy that has served us so well down the years.
“Everything we do is about quality and service and that will remain cornerstone to our operation in all areas.
“This latest showroom is further evidence and we believe it will prove a huge addition to the Blackburn retail landscape.”
Meanwhile, the firm is also set to renovate its flagship showroom in Parliament Street, Burnley.
Mr Rothwell said: “These are exciting times for us. We accept that more challenges lie ahead, but we believe in what we are doing and have great confidence in our products, our service and our people.
“This recession has made it tough for everyone and it could get harder still, but we plan to drive forward and do all we can to stay successful.”
Showroom manager Catherine Sharratt said: “Being involved with the planning and supervision of the fit-out has been an exciting venture and the showroom is set to bring something really special to Blackburn. There is a real wow factor.”
