THE Blackburn branch of DIY superstore B&Q is creating 17 new jobs to keep up with demand.
Bosses want new customer service staff, particularly those with expertise in plumbing and electronics.
Jean Forshaw, service supervisor at the store, in Bolton Road, said: “We are looking to improve our customer service and we want people with experience.
“They will advise people in store about what kind of products are best suited to them.”
Mrs Forshaw said that more staff were needed because more people were making DIY improvements to their homes, rather than choosing to move.
