BLACKBURN Cathedral is set to launch a harvest appeal for the victims of the Pakistan floods next week.
The Dean of Blackburn, the Very Rev Christopher Armstrong, will promote the scheme on Monday which will see a bid to raise cash for ‘Aquaboxes’.
The equipment enables flood vic-tims to obtain clean and often lifesaving water supplies.
The Dean said: “There will be no harvest for several years to come in Pakistan.
We are delighted that QEGS, Westholme, St Mary's College, St Wilfrid’s and the Diocesan and Cathedral offices have joined us in this mercy dash.”
