A local group are asking residents, community groups and children to help plant 6000 bulbs, including daffodils, crocuses and snowdrops, as well as over 120 fruit trees in the recently repainted promenade at Victoria Park, Haslingden. Just turn up and you'll be handed a bag of bulbs, with a map of their planting area.
You could take a spade, flask of tea and umbrella but they're not essential. To get involved just arrive at Victoria Park any time between 11am and 4pm on Saturday 23rd or Sunday 24th October. Email Rob Moss, qy@dr.com for more information
