A DOCTORS’ surgery in Nelson is organising an event to raise money for the Pakistan Floods Appeal.
Dr Jehangir’s Surgery has organised the event at The ACE Centre, Nelson, with support from Pendle Leisure Trust.
From 11am until 4pm on Sunday, October 10, there will be face-painting, henna-painting, threading, jewellery and clothes stalls, a raffle, lucky dip, tombola and games such as air-hockey, a penalty shoot-out and hook-a-duck.
Bushra Rashid, practice manager at Dr Jehangir’s Surgery, said: “The lives of millions of people in Pakistan were recently devastated by terrible floods.
Villages have been cut off by overflowing rivers, crops have been destroyed and families have lost absolutely everything.
“We want to do our bit to help these unfortunate people and we are hoping the people of Pendle feel the same and will join us for this family fun day.”
