BURNLEY MP Gordon Birtwistle has pledged to support the NSPCC by passing on its helpline numbers to as many constituents as possible.
Mr Birtwistle met staff from the charity at the Liberal Democrat conference to find out more about their services.
He said: “I am delighted to have learnt more about ChildLine and the NSPCC Helpline and the vital services they provide to people in Burnley.
“ChildLine gives children and young people a safe, confidential space to discuss their problems and concerns, and the NSPCC Helpline provides advice for adults concerned about the safety of children.
“If a child is in danger or is too young to get help themselves, it’s important that adults know where they can go for help and advice.”
