THE University Centre at Blackburn College has now teamed up with the police and launched a new degree.
Community Policing and Justice Management will be a two-year Foundation Degree.
It will be open to anyone wishing to pursue a career as either a Police Community Support Officer or in a range of careers in the police force and the criminal justice sector.
In partnership with the Lancashire Constabulary the course will be taught by School of Law, Justice and Community Studies.
Marie Thompson, Head of School, said: “Designed and developed in partnership with the Lancashire Constabulary, the Foundation Degree in Community Policing and Justice Management is a natural extension to the success of the Criminology and Public Service Foundation Degrees.”
She added: “The skills developed in the work place will give students the opportunity to gain genuine experience and development.”
