AN OBSERVANT PCSO who spotted suspicious wiring coming from a bungalow found a £12,000 cannabis farm.
PCSO Rick Lamb’s discovery in Deganwy Avenue, Blackburn, helped officers uncover 30 plants in a back bedroom on Friday.
Equipment including lighting, fans and a heater were also seized from the address.
The plants have now been destroyed.
Sergeant Sue Bushell from the Blackburn North East Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “This is an excellent example of how PCSOs are working with communities in the fight against crime.
“Through Rick’s quick and decisive actions we were able to remove drugs from the community.
“We know the impact that drugs can have and we are determined to do everything we can to stifle the supply in our neighbourhoods.
“Inquiries continue to find out who was responsible and I urge anyone with information to come forward.
“We actively encourage the community to approach us with any information or suspicions about drugs or crime in their neighbourhood.”
