pie maker Clayton Park Bakery is celebrating a sales boost.

Sales at the firm, based on the Junction 7 business park in Clayton-le-Moors, have increased by 33 per cent since 2008, according to bosses.

Managing director Barry Thomas said: “We are delighted.

"I’m sure our success has a lot to do with our commitment to producing top quality pies, working with our clients to create new and unusual fillings and using locally-sourced ingredients.”

Last month Clayton Park was awarded the contract to supply its pies to Blackburn Rovers after Baxenden-based Holland’s lost the deal.
