THE best of Barnoldswick will be showcased at a day of festivities.
The town will host Barnoldswick Day on Saturday, October 2 in a massive marquee in Albert Road square.
As well as a host of stands and displays from local companies and organisations, there will be workshops and activities for all ages and an opportunity for people to get their dogs microchipped.
The event is the brainchild of Barnoldswick Town Council chairman David Stead.
He said: “I’m very proud of Barnoldswick.
The town punches well above its weight in every way, with it being a centre of excellence in manufacturing, having a colourful cultural life, a bustling retail and service trade and a host of very effective charitable and voluntary organisations.
“This event is an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to celebrate what goes on in the town.
