A firm has taken part in a project to get more children physically active.
ESP (Education and Special Projects Ltd), of Burnley, was commissioned by NHS South West Essex to install a playground into every school in the area.
They also asked Leeds Metropolitan and Roehampton University to assess levels of physical activity pre and post installation.
They found that physical activity levels increased 14.6 per cent after installation.
Bosses at ESP, based in Eastham Place, now plan to present the findings to all regional NHS groups.
