A PENSIONER’S pet dog was stolen while the owner ran a car boot sale.
The 68-year-old, from Ramsbottom, had tied the 15-month-old Yorkshire Terrier, called Daisy, to his car while he manned the stall in Cleveleys on Saturday.
The man was approached by a family at around 12.45pm and, while distracted, Daisy was untied and put into a blue vehicle.
The family were described as a man in his 40s, a woman of about 22 with long dark hair, an elderly woman in her 60s with a long flowing skirt, and a young boy with short dark spiked hair.
PC Carol White said: “Daisy is a much loved pet and her owners are absolutely devastated that she has been stolen.
“They have been putting up posters in the local area to try and find her but there has been no news yet.”
