THE terrible weather hit the unveiling of a £10,000 art installation this weekend.
Some 7,000 solar lights have been arranged on Cribden Hill, Haslingden, in the shape of a horse. But the fog and rain meant the display could not be seen at its unveiling on Saturday night.
Undeterred, however, organisers staged a celebration on the hill, also the site of the Halo Panopticon, which included kite flying.
The lights display is a tribute to the 374ft-long Uffington White Horse, in Oxfordshire.
