A MAN was pulled from his chair and kicked in the head in an attack in Accrington Library.
Police said the victim became involved in an argument at the library on St James Street with two men.
The 25-year-old man was then pulled from his chair and kicked several times in the head.
Following the incident he was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital where he was treated for cuts and bruises.
Since receiving treatment, he has since been released home.
Two boys, aged 16 and 17 have been arrested in connection with the attack and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Detective Sergeant Paul Langley from Accrington CID said: “It is very unusual for this type of offence to happen in a library and I appeal to anyone who saw what happened to contact the police.”
The incident happened at around 6.30pm on Tuesday September 7.
