A new Bacup dial-a-bus service has been launched. A three-month trial for the service linking communities in Bacup with the town centre starts on Wednesday 15 September. It will be operated by Lancashire County Council Travelcare with bookings taken by Burnley and Pendle Community Transport.
The bus will operate on Wednesday and Saturday from 9.45am until 11.45am, then 12.15pm until 2.15pm for a 3-month trial period to assess demand.
Anyone who wants to use the Dial-a-Bus will first need to register as a member of the scheme by ringing the Burnley & Pendle Community Transport Booking Line on 01282 661100. For further information contact: Mike Warren on 01772 533537 or email; mike.warren@lancashire.gov.uk
