JOE and Carrie Woodhouse are celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary today after 60 happy years.
The couple, who live in Trinity Street in the Larkhill area of Blackburn, will throw a party this weekend.
Mrs Woodhouse, 84, said she wouldn’t swap her husband, 85, for anything.
She said: “A happy marriage is all about give and take. We’ve had our arguments but I wouldn’t swap him!”
They were married at St Michael’s Church in Blackburn in 1950 and have one son, Tommy and a granddaughter, Emma Jayne.
Mr Woodhouse is a former chief inspector at Prestige beds and Mrs Woodhouse worked at Mullards for 18 years.
