A DECISION on plans to build 86 new houses on land off Rockliffe Road in Bacup has been delayed.
Councillors on the development control committee were due to discuss the proposals this week, but the meeting was cancelled because a by-election has been called.
Rules state that council meetings can’t be held during an election period.
Council planners had recommended the scheme be refused.
The application was submitted by Craven Design Partnership on behalf of Barnfield Construction.
