A WOMAN was assaulted by two men as she walked through Padiham last weekend.

One of the men grabbed the 35-year-old woman by the wrist as she walked along Mill Street and asked her for a kiss before trying to drag her into bushes.

The woman shouted for help and was heard by a member of the public, at which point the two men fled.

He was wearing black trousers with a cream shirt.

DC Andrew Maden, from Burnley CID, said: “This is a concerning incident for which the motive is unclear.
