A BLACKBURN primary school has become one the last in the country to receive a prestigious information and communications technology award.
And Wensley Fold CofE Voluntary Controlled Primary School is now only the second primary school in the borough after The Redeemer to gain the mark.
Following an extensive external assessment of the school it was awarded the ICT Mark by Becta, a government-funded body responsible for promoting the use of ICT in Britain’s schools and colleges.
The award recognises the school’s success in developing the strategic use of ICT in both administration and across the curriculum.
This award will no longer be given to schools and colleges as the coalition Government scrapped Becta.
