A PENSIONER was found safe and well after a three-hour search in the early hours of the morning.
Members of the Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team were asked to join police at 2.30am on the manhunt on Monday after a 67-year-old man disappeared from Height Side Nursing Home, Newchurch.
He had been missing from 7pm on Sunday and police contacted the mountain rescue volunteers to help find the man.
But immediately after a briefing at Waterfoot Police Station, the man was found safe and well in Nelson and the search team was stood down at 5.30am.
