EAST Lancashire's first Starbucks coffee shop opened its doors yesterday morning.
The site, in Haslingden Road, Guide, is also one of the American coffee giant's first drive-through outlets in the United Kingdom.
The development, by Darwen forecourt firm Euro Garages, also features a BP station, a florist and a Subway sandwich shop.
Later this year it will also house Euro Garages' HQ as it is quitting its current Darwen site for larger premises.
The Starbucks offers seating inside as well as a drive-through lane.
The development will create a total of 60 jobs.
Director Mohsin Issa said: “It’s essential for us to work with strong brands who share our commitment to innovation.
“Our partnership with Starbucks complements the offer on our existing estate, as well as enabling us to accelerate our growth with new standalone drive-thrus across the UK.”
Darcy Wilson-Rymer, from Starbucks, said: “Euro Garages’ commitment to customer service and innovation makes them the right partner for us.”
Starbucks is set to open 30 drive-through coffee shops across the country, creating 600 jobs, as part of a licensing deal with Euro Garages.
