A 'HEALTHY' cola drink has gone on the menu at an East Lancashire secondary school.
Norden High School and Sports College, Rishton, is stocking Evoid cola, which is free from sugar, preservatives and artificial flavourings, to encourage pupils to give up other fizzy drinks before and after school.
Amanda Thorp, assistant school business manager, said the school introduced the 65p drink six weeks ago and it was proving very popular.
According to Manchester-based Evoid Drinks, the company who manufacturers the product, Norden High School is the first school in Lancashire to offer the healthier alternative.
The drink contains carbonated water from grape and lemon concentrate, barley malt extract and cola nut extract and is the first of its kind in the UK, according to Evoid bosses.
