TWO mini-moto bikes that were blighting the lives of neighbours have been seized as part of a police operation.
The crackdown on people causing a nuisance with mini-motos also saw two warnings handed out to mini-moto riders, as well as 3,000 leaflets distributed giving residents advice on reporting incidents.
Sergeant Carole Langhorn said: “The recent good weather has already resulted in an increase in complaints about vehicle nuisance.
“The anti-social and illegal use of these bikes is not something either residents or the police are willing to put up with.
“It is our intention to identify those responsible and take action.
“To assist us, I am appealing for members of the public to come forward with information about any nuisance bikes or individuals in their area.
“Names, nicknames and descriptions of the bikes are all useful and will enable us to address the problem.
“We plan to do that by seizing and, where necessary, crushing the bikes as we have done elsewhere in Burnley over recent months.”
