NEW signs have been installed to point the way to an iconic landmark on the outskirts of Haslingden.
The Halo scuplture, at Top o’Slate, will benefit from four new boards, around the town centre.
While three are standard brown ‘tourist’ signposts, the fourth has a display board featuring the history of the Halo’s installation, as a Millennium showpiece.
Better signposting has been campaigned for by Greenfield councillor, and new deputy mayor, Coun Gladys Sandiford.
Coun Sandiford said: “I am delighted that at last this is in place and am hoping more visitors will be attracted to this brilliant attraction which has put Haslingden on the map, and also visit our high street.”
The cash for the new signs was provided by Rossendale council’s performance reward grant.
