TWO fire crews from Colne were called to a bedroom fire last night when neighbours spotted smoke coming from an upstairs window.
The small fire in a rear bedroom of a terraced property in Alkincoats Road was reported at 8.05pm.
According to fire investigators, the occupants of the house were out at the time, but the blaze is being treated at accidental.
The fire was contained to the bedroom, which was heavily smoke-logged and crews used two breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera, hose reel jet and a ventilation unit to deal with the incident in under an hour.
Arson or an electrical fault was ruled out, but the cause is still being investigated.
