AN office formerly used by ex-Rossendale & Darwen MP Janet Anderson will be re-let now that Labour has lost the seat.
The building in Bolton Road, Darwen, was left in trust to the party by former Parliamentary candidate Dale Campbell-Savours.
It caused controversy earlier this year when the Lancashire Telegraph revealed Mrs Anderson was using her allowances to rent it from the Labour Party despite only holding 'very occasional' surgeries there.
Sudell councillor Dave Smith, who ran the office after it was opened to the public in 2008, said: “We can’t do anything with it, because it was left to us in trust.
"We will have to try and rent it out.”
