WORK is underway to repair part of a house that is falling down.
Sections of Olive Lane and Anyon Street have been fenced off and temporary traffic lights put in place to protect passers-by after part of the wall of the house on the corner was found to be rotten.
Ward councillor Roy Davies said: “The house is still standing and there are people working on it now.”
The couple who live there were unable to fund the costly repairs on their insurance policy because Lloyds TSB said it was classed as ‘wear and tear’.
Locals blamed the heavy traffic in the area for wearing down the foundations of the terrace.
The road is often used by lorries as a shortcut from the motorway.
