ROSE queens paraded along Whalley New Road on Saturday in a procession of approximately 100 people.
The newly crowned queens from St Leonard’s, Langho, St Mary’s, Mellor, and St Gabriel’s, Blackburn, joined the new and outgoing queen at St Peter’s Church Salesbury, where a special Rose Queen service was held following the parade.
The queens were joined by uniformed organisations, the choir, church societies and witnesses in the parade which left from St Peter’s Church.
Volunteer Eileen Bagot said: “It was a wonderful day and very much enjoyed by everyone.”
