ACCRINGTON showed its civic pride with a special event to celebrate Armed Forces Day on Saturday.
The Accrington Pipe Band led a procession to the town hall, where, the Mayor of Hyndburn, Coun Malcolm Pritchard, and dignitaries saluted before joining the back of the procession.
An outdoor service was then held at the Accrington Pals Memorial in St James Church, led by the Rev Kevin Logan.
The procession made its way back to the town hall, for a civic lunch and speeches.
