TAKE dad for a Father’s Day treat this weekend with a range of events taking place in East Lancashire.

Also in Blackburn, The Mall is hosting a penalty shoot-out competition this weekend to help celebrate Father’s Day.
To take part in the ‘Can you kick it?’ penalty shoot out, shoppers need to present or sign up to the RewardME card then shoot and score into a giant inflatable goal to discover how fast their penalty kick was.
Prizes of £100 and £50 Mall SpendME gift cards will be awarded at the end of each day to the two shoppers, one over and one under 16, with the fastest shot.
On Sunday the annual Burnley Dog Rescue show takes place at Towneley Park.
Saturday morning will see the start of Colne Gala, with a procession from Shaw Street at 11am. And the clock will be turned back to the Second World War at St Bartholomew’s Church, which is holding a 1940s day.
Get revved up at Gawthorpe Hall Classic Motorbike Show in Padiham. Bikes from every era and interest will be on show, as well as Punch and Judy for the kids. The event runs from noon until 4.30pm on Sunday. Admission costs £1.50 for adults and 50p for children.
