TWO WOMEN have been taken to hospital suffering from serious injuries following a smash involving two cars and a concrete mixer truck this morning.
The crash involving the truck and a silver Chevrolet Matiz and a silver Vauxhall Astra on Burnley Road in Todmorden, happened at just after 9am.
A 72-year-old female driver and her 52-year-old female passenger of the Chevrolet Matiz both received 'serious but not life-threatening injuries', according to police.
It is believed that the 72-year-old has broken both arms and both legs, and the passenger broke one arm and one leg.
The women, who are believed to be from Bolton, were both taken to Rochdale Hospital by land ambulance.
