VANDALS have painted an England cross on a mini roundabout in Rossendale.
Two bollards near Helmshore Post Office, in Helmshore Road, were also daubed in red and white.
Football fans are being warned not to paint private property as they could be arrested and charged with criminal damage.
Sergeant Michelle Dixon, from Rossendale Police, said: “We understand that everyone is excited about the World Cup but the fact is vandalism is a criminal offence. If the culprit is caught, action will be taken.
“Everyone needs to remember to respect property.”
