A 23-YEAR-OLD man who had suffered from depression for a number of years has been found dead at home by his girlfriend.
Duane Clive Hawke was found by Helen Bell at his home in Randal Street, Burnley, at 1.25am on Thursday June 3.
An inquest into Mr Hawke’s death was opened and adjourned by East Lancashire Coroner Richard Taylor at Burnley Coroner’s Court on Tuesday.
The hearing was told he had been suffering from depression.
Pathologist Dr Abdul Al-Dawoud who carried ot the post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as hanging.
Toxicological and histological tests will now be carried out before the full inquest hearing.
Mr Hawke's funeral will be held tomorrow and will include a service at St Mark's Church at 1.15pm before interment at Burnley Cemetery.
