A YOUNG entrepreneur from Nelson has been included in GQ magazine’s list of the world’s top 50 coolest men.

Paul Griffiths, 23, the brains and driving force behind the globally-successful Babycakes brand, has been included at number 37 in GQ’s list – above controversial golf legend Tiger Woods and Dinos Contostavlos, aka Dappy from N-Dubz.

The former Primet High School pupil also charted higher than Prince of Persia and RocknRolla star Toby Kebbell, and seven-year-old Albert Cocker, son and spitting image of former Pulp frontman, solo musician and BBC Radio 2 DJ Jarvis Cocker.

Prince Harry is number one in the list, which is made up of men under the age of 37-and-a-half.

Twilight star Robert Pattinson came in at number two, with Reggie Love, aide to US President Barack Obama, at number three and Dizzee Rascal at four.

Paul said: “I remember seeing the list last year and it’s surreal being included this year.

“I wish I was number one, though – I’m way cooler than Prince Harry!”

Paul set up the Babycakes brand from his bedroom at his family home in Rakeshouse Road, three years ago.

Now he has a store in Manchester’s trendy Northern Quarter and a website selling merchandise all over the world.

Under the guise of Babycakes, he also promotes new bands and organises exclusive parties.

Speaking shortly after touching down in the UK following a Babycakes party in Amsterdam, he said the brand was set to get even bigger.

Paul said: “After we launch the new summer line this year, it’s all going to be about partying.

“We are having some huge parties in Los Angeles and London and a new store will be opening later this year.”
