THE case against a man charged in connection with the disappearance of Paul Brady, 44, in Weir, near Bacup, last August, has been dropped.
Police said the case against Mark Azzopardi, 40, of Rocket Way, Salford, was discontinued at Preston Crown Court yesterday as there was 'no longer a realistic prospect of conviction.'
A number of people remain charged in connection with the inquiry.
