A VILLAGE football star has been given the all-clear to play in a cup final by Blackburn magistrates.
And just in case the game goes to extra time, the magistrates decided to lift his curfew for an hour longer than he requested.
Paul Clark, of Henthorn Close, Clitheroe, a centre-back for Rimington FC is subject to an 8pm to 6am curfew for an offence of driving while disqualified.
He went to court and asked the magistrates to relax the curfew for one night to allow him to play in the Craven Cup Final against Grassington Utd at Barnoldswick Town’s ground tonight.
He asked for the curfew to be lifted until 10pm to allow him to play in the game, which kicks off at 7.30 pm, have a shower and get back to Clitheroe.
The magistrates allowed the curfew to start at 11pm for one night only.
