ASPIRING artists have the chance to hold their first exhibitions in the gallery at Sunnyhurst Wood Visitor Centre.
Darwen artist Judith Herring is currently exhibiting landscapes, seascapes, and flowers, until this Sunday.
Organisers hope the gallery will enable local people to show off their work, and at the same time bring more visitors to the wood. Countryside services staff Peter Coultherd and Margery Collinge will run the exhibitions, which are for six weeks each.
Future events include displays by Doreen and Eric Bromby from June 17 to July 30, and by Margaret Pollard from August 5 to September 17. The centre, off Earnsdale Road, is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays, from 1pm to 4.30pm.
For more information about forthcoming exhibitions, or showing your artwork, call the centre on 01254 701545 or email countryside@blackburn.gov.uk.
