POLICE carried out a second wave of drug arrests in Accrington today, a day after one of the largest operations of its kind in East Lancashire.

Seven arrests were made this morning at six properties in Craven Street, Charter Street, Hyndburn Street, Water Street and Hyndburn Road.

A further seven people were due to appear in court this morning charged with drugs offences following raids across East Lancashire yesterday, which involved more than 100 officers.

Imran Pervez, 24, from Pendle Street, Accrington, is charged with supplying heroin and possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply.

Nasam Pervez, 26, from Pendle Street East, Accrington, is charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.

Akeel Hussain, 24, from Higher Antley Street, Accrington, is charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.

Hadil Iqbal, 28, from Musden Avenue, Helmshore, is charged with supplying heroin, crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine and possession of heroin with intent to supply.

Mohammed Sabir, 29, from Ambleside Close, Blackburn, is charged with supply heroin and crack cocaine and being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.

Mohammed Khabib, 26, from Princess Street, Accrington, is charged with supplying heroin and crack cocaine.

Vincent Ireland, 48, from Meadow Street, Accrington, is charged with supplying heroin and possession of Class A drug.

Another man was cautioned for possession of a Class A drug.

Police also revealed more than £3,000 in cash was found along with drugs while four vehicles were seized from yesterday's raids in Accrington, Oswaldtwistle, Helmshore and Blackburn.
