A COUPLE who met while modelling underwear laid themselves bare in front of thousands of viewers by getting married live on TV!
Debbie Emmott said her relationship with Andy Salmon had never been ordinary since she first set eyes on him in a tiny leopard-print thong.
And so the couple, of Nora Street, Barrowford, who have been together for 13 years, decided their wedding should be something a bit different too.
Their wedding at The Inn at Whitewell in the Forest of Bowland was beamed live around the world on Discovery Home and Health's show Weddings Live.
Ex-Big Brother contestant-turned-presenter Alison Hammond, pictured right interviewing Debbie and her father, was in the Ribble Valley feeding live images of the couple to the studio, where presenter Sarah Greene was hosting the show.
But the showbiz connections didn't stop there, with Sally Jaxx once a member of Bucks Fizz and one of Debbie's closest friends serenading the couple. And the wedding cake was also almost an exact replica of Jordan's and Peter Andre's white chocolate creation from famous confectioners Choccy Woccy Doodah.
Andy, who proposed at Stonehenge after a weekend away in Torquay, said the day had been "absolutely fantastic".
He said: "The whole day has been made that extra bit special knowing millions of viewers could be sharing it with us.
"Debbie looked beautiful and the weather was beautiful. We really couldn't have wished for a more perfect day."
Debbie, who wore Gina shoes, a gold tiara and choker, said the wedding had been two years in the planning.
She said: "I wasn't nervous at all even with all the cameras.
"I was just really excited to see Andy but I got a bit emotional and tearful when I was about to walk down the aisle. My dad was so lovely and just told me I looked beautiful and said he was really proud of me.
"Everything was just perfect."
The honeymoon is month-long tour of California, Las Vegas and San Francisco and Hawaii.
