YOUNG dancers from across the North West converged on Colne at the weekend for the annual Luther Greenwood Dance Festival.
And organisers hailed the two-day festival in the Municipal Hall another huge success.
Festival chairman Susan Thorpe said today: "It was great fun and very successful. Everyone really enjoyed the days."
Around 200 competitors, aged five to 17 years, took part in the wide range of classes including classical ballet, modern, tap, song and dance, national and character.
The festival, established in 1947 was named in memory of the conductor of the Orpheus choir, Colne.
The second part of the festival, featuring music, speech and drama is held towards the end of the year.
