A PUBLIC inquiry will be held at Todmorden Town Hall to hear the reasons why Calderdale Council refused an application to build 28 apartments, 12 town houses, eight workshops and a cafe on the site of a former mill in the town.
The giant Hope Street Mill, in Halifax Road, was demolished two years ago.
Plans for redevelopment were submitted last year but Calderdale Council refused an application in August last year.
The public inquiry will be held at 10am on June 22 in the town hall.
Calderdale refused the multi-million pound extension because members felt the land should be retained for local needs and jobs could be created on the site.
