POLICE today vowed to catch gangs of youths threatening staff and customers at a Pendle retail park.
Police said that over the past few weeks, gangs of teenagers had been going into the fast food outlets at North Valley Retail Park, Colne, threatening people there with violence and causing damage in the area.
Now police have put plain-clothes officers on patrol in an attempt to catch the yobs who have also stoned customer's cars.
PC Mark Walker said the incidents started with staff being abused but had escalated. He said: "The incidents have got quite nasty, with both staff and customers been threatened.
"This cannot be tolerated and we are doing our best to find who is responsible and to ensure more incidents do not happen."
