Firefighters are hoping for a warm reception to a fundraising run to help victims of the 2005 South Asian earthquake.
A team from Lancashire Fire and Rescue service will run 16 miles between every high school in Blackburn with Darwen on Monday, June 19, to raise funds for rebuilding work.
Members of the team went to Kashmir to help victims of the earthquake and saw first-hand the devastation caused.
Staff and pupils from every school in Darwen, along with public, private and voluntary sector organisations are supporting the fund raising run.
Anyone wishing to donate can do so by calling the Disasters Emergency Committee on 0207 436 6000.
