A NEWLY-formed children's activity centre has successfully appealed for help from Todmorden Council's amenities committee.
Inside Out Parent/Toddler Care toddler group has received £300 for part funding and running costs after the council was told the group was hoping to organise an Eastwood Summer Festival on June 18.
The Mayor, Councillor David O'Neill, said the group were doing a very positive job setting themselves up in the revamped crickiet pavilion and certainly deserved the council's help in their new setting, which was once Eastwood cricket pavilion.
The chairman of Eastwood Residents' Association, John Peck, also wrote to the committee thanking them for the two new seats at the pavilion and playground. He said: "They have really enhanced the facilities and we are most grateful."
