IRISH eyes will be smiling in Burnley on September 19 when Celtic singer songwriter Dominic Kirwan takes to the stage.
A string of chart topping albums and sell out concert tours have made the entertainer an international star, but it is his Irish roots that cause a sensation in his energetic live shows.
Born and raised in Omagh, he first found a love of performing as a dancer but he always had a burning desire for music and followed his dream, fronting The Melody Boys with their rock, pop, rhythm and blues, Irish ballads and country songs.
Solo success came with the release of his album On The Way To A Dream, which gave him his first hit and he has continued this success with the release of Unconditional Love, Stone In Love With You and Under Your Spell.
Dominic, who is looking forward to getting back out on the road, said: "In recent years we've averaged 200 shows a year - we believe in taking music to the people."
Fans can expect a full range of songs from his back catalogue, including traditional Irish favourites such as My Galway Queen and Rose of Tralee, as well as original songs.
Dominic Kirwan plays at Burnley Mechanics on Tuesday, September 19. Tickets £16 from 01282 664400.
