A 17-YEAR-OLD boy was sprayed in the face with an unknown substance during a street attack early today.
The victim, who has not been named, was walking down Preston Old Road towards Blackburn town centre when he was set upon at 12.15am.
Police said the teenager was approached by an Asian man who asked to borrow his mobile phone.
The attacker than ran off empty-handed towards the town centre, and the victim sought refuge in the Beehive pub. He did not require hospital treatment.
The attacker is Asian, aged 19 to 23, 5ft 10ins tall, slim, and was wearing a black balaclava rolled up to his forehead exposing stubble on his face.
He was also wearing a zip-up jacket and jeans.
