ASPIRING artists are being offered the opportunity to hold their first exhibitions in the gallery at Sunnyhurst Wood Visitor Centre, Darwen.
Local artist Judith Herring is currently exhibiting landscapes, seascapes, and flowers, until June 11.
Countryside services staff Peter Coultherd and Margery Collinge hope the gallery will enable local people to show off their work, and bring more visitors to the wood.
Exhibitions run for six weeks.
Future events include displays by Doreen and Eric Bromby, from June 17 to July 30; followed by Margaret Pollard, from August 5 to September 17.
The centre is open Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Bank Holidays, from 1pm to 4.30pm.
For more information about forthcoming exhibitions, or showing your art work, call the centre on 01254 701545.
