A GOOD test of a Chinese takeaway I've always found is the quality of its noodles.
Done right and they are a joy. Done badly and a bowl of noodles can be like eating your own shoelaces.
So, would the May Flower pass the noodle test? I chose the Singapore noodles from the extensive menu while for the better half I selected the beef in garlic sauce.
At £8.40 including boiled rice it represented decent value for money.
So, back to the noodles which I'm glad to say passed the test with full colours.
The May Flower serves delicate, thin noodles that manage to be light and filling at the same time.
The Singapore dish had a selection of meats, vegetables and prawns and was suitably spicy without being overly hot.
Meanwhile the beef dish was one for those with an asbetos palate.
