A 14-year-old girl was rescued from a 60ft cliff face in Barnoldswick last night.
The youngster, who was with her 13-year-old friend, had got her arm stuck on the cliff above the reservoir close to the Silent Night factory in Coates Lane.
Police and fire crews were called to free the local girl after her friend used a mobile phone to alert emergency services.
Burnley Police's Gavin Shaw said: "We are not sure how she got her arm stuck but she was close to the cliff edge which had a 60ft drop to the reservoir below.
"She wasn't injured apart from slight bruising to her arm but was left shocked and shaken by the incident."
